ALIGN - CONNECT - UNLEASH

At Cogentis, we are passionate about advancing small-to-mid-size companies that have vision, are ready to grow, and recognize that the best way forward may be different from the path that has gotten them where they are today.

Our philosophy of business is rooted in 4 principles:

  • Purpose

We believe in the power of business to have a positive impact on people and the communities it serves.  Strong resilient businesses have a clear reason and vision that drives their actions.

  • People

Business is people, whether employees, customers or consumers, suppliers or investors.  We believe that long-term sustainable growth relies on unleashing the full capabilities of your team and providing opportunities for growth for all stakeholders.

  • Profit

Profit is a catalyst for long term health and greater impact for a company; it isn’t an objective that supersedes all others.

  • Practical Innovation

Standing still is not an option in a volatile, uncertain and complex market.  At Cogentis, we believe companies must stay open to new perspectives, new strategic directions and new tactics in order to remain relevant to customers.

We are a small nimble company by design.  We build strong relationships with our clients by working hands-on with our clients rather than hand over a project to junior associates after contracting.  Nimble because we utilize people with the specific skill set required to drive your project to success, no more

In working with our clients, we:

1) Identify the opportunities for highest leverage to gain traction on your challenges

2) Work cross-functionally to include the players who are essential to long-term success, and

3) Collaborate with you to implement the first steps toward your goal while building for sustainability.

The Team

Linda Williams, Founder & Director

Linda Williams launched Cogentis to help companies develop innovations that work by fusing their brands, customers and markets — profitably. Today, Linda pursues her passion — helping companies grow and become unswerving innovators by staying deeply connected to their changing customers.

Linda-Williams

Many years with Kraft Foods followed by work with Microsoft allowed Linda to hone her understanding of diverse products and the customers that love them.  She has worked with organizations for more than 25 years to identify market opportunities with potential.

Linda and her colleagues have worked with start-ups through Fortune 100 companies in many industries, including technology, packaged goods, real estate development, and healthcare. A cross-section of clients are:  Microsoft, Starbucks, Clorox, Simon Property Group (retail real estate), AquaGuidance (water), Envision Accounting (software), HaloSource (biotechnology), and Eagle Hardware & Garden (now Lowe’s).

Linda Williams built a complementary mix of business-skills and people-skills through education and real-world business experience. Her expertise in brand & marketing strategy, research, and group dynamics helps her clients ask the right questions, develop the understanding they need, and keep all players motivated and moving in the same direction.

Linda believes that business is a force for positive impact on our communities and the world.  People are the keystone to create effective, conscious companies that deliver innovative solutions for the thorny problems we face today.   And with most people working in small and mid-size businesses around the world, SMBs can lead in defining the next stage in business for us all.
